Happy Saturday, everybody!
Or, more accurately, Happy GAME TIME Saturday!
Today is all about Titans, the great big monsters of Greek mythology that earn a special place in the hearts of many Attack on Titan fans. For those of you who don’t know, Attack on Titan started out as an anime/manga in 2013 which will be released as a video game in the US on August 30th, 2016.
The series is actually pretty straightforward: a young man by the name of Eren vows to rid the world of the monstrous Titans who continually destroy towns, cities, and lives in general. The series follows Eren on this journey, and what’s exciting to many people are the degrees of combat involved, not just the basic combat you see in every other video game that involves combat.
(It’s like this times ten.)
But what about those who can’t afford the Xbox One or the Nintendo 3DS? How would you get your Titans fix without paying hundreds of dollars for it? Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: Tap Titan.
Tap Titan, developed by Game Hive Corp, is a free app that you can pretty much download either from Amazon or iTunes with little to no setup necessary. The game is in the name, you tap as fast as you can to defeat numerous Titans in your path.
Along the way, you hire different mercenaries and magicians to help you out, including but not limited to: an assassin, a witch, a knight, and a dwarf. The game also takes you through numerous settings, such as the city (seen above), the desert, a magical garden, and desert. The Titans are also themed to their environment, so you’re not just fighting the same monster over and over again.
What’s really nice about this game is that, unlike Attack on Titan, there’s no huge plot involved. Instead, all you do is tap away, so it’s a great time-waster if you’ve ever got time to waste.
This may not be the exact same as the anime/manga that many people love, but it’s a great alternative for those who like the idea of beating up giant monsters. If you’re a Candy Crush fan, also, I would definitely recommend this game.
What’s your favorite tapping game?
